Handmade Ocean-Inspired Resin Art & Olive Wood Homeware

Six years ago, I gave birth to my premature baby. What should have been a time of joy became a deeply overwhelming experience, as I struggled with the emotional aftermath and PTSD that followed.

In the quiet moments between hospital visits, fear, and exhaustion, I turned to art and craft as a way to cope. Creating became my grounding point — a way to process emotions that felt too heavy for words, and to slowly rebuild a sense of calm and control.

What began as a survival tool gradually grew into something more meaningful: a path toward healing, expression, and connection. Through making, I found small pieces of myself again, and began to understand the power of creativity in recovery.

Today, I continue to create not only as a form of healing, but as a way to share hope with others who may be walking through their own difficult seasons

My Name is Clarissa, Part Time Resin Artist and Part time Paediatric Nurse.

My works are inspired by my hometown Goa, South of India, an Indo Portuguese colony until the early 60s, a sleepy seaside retreat and a small fishing village.

Most of my early childhood evenings were spent at the local beach surrounded by waves, and the sun always shinning.

They say, home is where the heart is, and my heart lives in Goa, whilst I physically create Seascape Resin Art work with fond memories of my childhood.

My resin work not only allows me to escape to the sea, but allows me to protect my mental health, as I suffered from post traumatic stress PTSD, after the traumatic birth of my son at 26 weeks old.

I will forever be grateful for BLISS UK charity who helped us through our tough times. As a business we now pledge £1.00 Of each sale going to Bliss UK via Work for Good UK, who help premature babies and their families, like they did mine when my son was born at 26 weeks.
